Double Duty – Aspenware Commerce now live at two more resorts.
Dec 14th, 2020

JMA Ventures owned Homewood Mountain Resort in California and Red Lodge Mountain in Montana recently launched Aspenware Commerce to change the way resort guests access the mountain. Skiers and riders can now book tickets online and then collect their RFID media from a Pick-Up Box using the QR code included in their email confirmation.  Once the guest has their resort media, they will be able to reload additional days quickly from their mobile phone.

Homewood and Red Lodge chose Aspenware Commerce as their new ecommerce platform because it provides seamless integration with their point-of-sale technology (RTP|ONE) and Axess PUB (Pick-up box) for simple contactless fulfillment. Orders placed online are processed in RTP|ONE, immediately allowing guests to purchase tickets from their phone and collect their media from the PUB right away. This reduces guest and employee interactions and decreases the need for making a purchase or picking up at the ticket window.

“Homewood Mountain Resort and Red Lodge Mountain are committed to providing an exceptional guest experience,” says Rob Clark Aspenware’s CEO. “We started discussions with these sister resorts in July and since then our teams have worked together to completely revamp the guest experience in the booking, and arrival phases of their guest journey. What we have managed to accomplish together will make it easier for skiers and riders to access the mountain and provide a safe, contactless experience. We are thrilled to be working with these progressive resorts.”

“The health and safety of our employees and guests is our top priority, and these new systems will reduce touch points not only at our ticket windows, but they will allow lift attendants to scan tickets from at least 6 feet away,” said Collin Casper, JMA’s director of finance. “Our investment in Aspenware and RFID technology will also allow for better control of when and how many tickets will be available throughout the season.”
