Another Year Wiser at Aspenware: Reflecting on 2021
Jan 6th, 2022

In 2020, our lives were upended and 2021 offered a slow return to a new normal. Though some challenges remain, 2021 proved to be an incredible year at Aspenware. We were finally able to reconnect with our customers in person at the Mountain Tech Symposium in October at Big Sky and we continued to strengthen our community online. We added new features, functionality, and integrations to Aspenware products to create the most reliable and robust versions to date. It was a year for the record books at Aspenware—and for our customers. Here’s a look back at 2021.

We hit some BIG numbers.

This year showed us unprecedented growth as resorts continued the trend of moving product sales online and offering customers quick and easy access to the mountain. Tech-savvy customers responded. We saw huge increases in online sales, transaction volume, and average order value. These business markers lead the way to exciting opportunities ahead.

But we didn’t just rest on our laurels…

We took our products to the next level.

Throughout 2021, we took significant steps to bolster the Aspenware products resorts rely on to provide guests with exceptional online and on-mountain experiences. We added more than 10 new major features and refined and improved others. We also launched exciting new partnerships with 3rd parties that share our passion for continuous innovation and forward-thinking. Check out our Top New Features of 2021.

We helped our customers make the most of their Aspenware platform.

We connected with our customers in new and exciting ways. As mentioned above, we were able to see many of our customers in person in October at the Mountain Tech Symposium at Big Sky. It was wonderful to see familiar faces and spend time sharing knowledge about the Aspenware product line. We learn so much from the unique ways that our customers use our platform and there is truly no better format for learning than from one another.

We also launched our robust Customer Hub, a one-stop online documentation resource for customers that provides an easy way to quickly get questions answered, self-serve when configuring features, and troubleshoot. We’ve received rave reviews about this resource, and it will continue to be enhanced in 2022.

Finally, we built on our online education offerings with several strategic and training webinars. The strategic webinars introduce customers to new features and functionality at a high level and we offer suggestions on how they might enhance resort business. The training webinars offer a technical, step-by-step approach to configuring new features and go in-depth on the functionality available. Many of our webinars are available here.

The Aspenware family grew.

Finally, the Aspenware team grew by 4 with the addition of Trish Morrissey (Sr. Business Analyst), Nathan Stohlmann (Sr. DevOps Engineer), Jake Swihart (Implementation Project Specialist), and Becky Haire (Sr. Customer Success Specialist). These folks added depth of knowledge in both ski and tech to our already outstanding team.

We also added 8 new resorts across 3 countries that either went live in 2021 or are in the process of going live in early 2022. We welcome these resorts to the Aspenware family!

And speaking of families, there were also a few Aspenware babies born in 2021.

Aspenware accomplished great things in 2021.

2022 will be even bigger.

This year brought major achievements for the Aspenware team–and Aspenware customers will continue to reap the benefits. Our family continues to grow, helping us to connect to a broader network of like-minded people who are passionate about the ultimate guest experience at mountain resorts. Even with the incredible strides we’ve made as a company and the advances made as a provider of commerce and innovative technology solutions, we won’t rest. Big things are coming in 2022 and we are excited to bring you even more of the best Aspenware has to offer.
