In response to the business impacts of coronavirus (COVID-19)
Apr 14th, 2020

As the world continues to respond to the impacts of COVID-19 we understand that our Resort Partners are facing significant challenges. In addition to the serious concerns for the health and safety of your staff and guests, COVID-19 is having a significant impact on the Ski Resort business.

We are here to help you during this unprecedented time.

  • In conversations with resorts and industry leaders, the need for creative pass sales strategies has emerged as a common theme. Aspenware has written a whitepaper to assist resorts to develop these strategies and to better understand how Aspenware Commerce can help sell and fulfill pass products in new and creative ways.

  • In response to current global conditions surrounding COVID-19 and its effect on the ski industry, Aspenware has adjusted our roadmap for the next few months to focus on items that can provide immediate value and help our customers respond to the changing environment. While we remain focused on enhancing the customer experience through booking, anticipation and arrival/registration phases, we are adding functionality that encourages self-service and reducing the need for face-to-face interaction. New payment options and subscription models are being added with the goal of providing your loyal guests flexibility during these uncertain times.
  • Aspenware will also be enabling Retail product sales and inventory sync to the RTP|ONE POS. Even though resorts are closed, your merchandise is still in demand and online retail sales remain strong. We are also introducing Guest Checkout capabilities and enhancements to the checkout funnel.

The Aspenware support team is here for you. Contact us to discuss anything from season pass strategy to selling retail online, or any other ideas you have but are unsure of how to execute.

Contact us through our support portal https://support.aspenware.com/ or email us at ski-support@aspenware.com.

Stay tuned to this space to learn more about other roadmap adjustments meant to help resorts during these challenging times.

Take care of yourselves, stay healthy and we look forward to seeing you again one day soon.

The Aspenware Team
