Aspenware Unveils New AI Agent to Simplify Mountain Resort Ecommerce
Aspenware's new AI agent, purpose built for Mountain resorts, lets guests plan and book complex ski trips with just a few simple instructions, and gives resort call centers and guest services teams a powerful new tool
Aspenware is bringing AI to mountain ecommerce, changing how guests discover, plan, and buy ski experiences.
Targeting early 2027 for production, the new AI agent completely reimagines online shopping for ski. Guests use simple conversation and one-click prompts to build a complete, multi-product cart in seconds. Every recommendation is based on the resort's actual pricing, availability, and booking rules.
While traditional chatbots send guests to static product pages, Aspenware's AI agent instead guides guests through the whole purchase from anywhere on the site. Moreover, it is built directly into Aspenware's ecommerce platform, allowing the agent to find, curate, and recommend a wide range of products to the guest, including lift tickets, lessons, rentals, and other activities to maximize cart value.
The agent compares options side by side, suggests relevant add-ons, and gets the cart ready for checkout.
For example, a family planning a December trip can ask which weekend offers the best value. The AI agent asks a few quick questions about travel dates, number of ski days, and each guest's age. It then compares real resort pricing across eligible weekends and recommends tickets, rentals, and other experiences. Finally, it works with the family to build the ideal cart, ready for checkout.
Similarly, a parent booking a lesson for a first-time skier is steered toward the right beginner package. The parent sees clear comparisons of lesson-only, lesson-and-lift, and lesson, lift, and rental options.
Behind a simple conversation: mountain-specific intelligence
While the guest sees a beautifully simple, intuitive conversation, the experience is Aspenware's proprietary mountain-specific commerce intelligence. To avoid the inaccuracies and unpredictable surprises of general-purpose AI, Aspenware built specialized AI tools and structured commerce APIs that:
- interpret resort product rules
- calculate age eligibility
- evaluate multi-day ticket options
- compare real pricing
- present add-ons the resort has already configured.
The result is accuracy, consistency and no surprises.
Built for resort staff, too
Aspenware is also designing the technology as an intelligent assistant for call centers and guest services teams. Staff will be able to use conversational guidance to find the right products, work through complex booking requirements, and send guests a link to complete the booking. This will reduce seasonal training needs while making service more consistent and efficient.
For resort operators, the agent is designed to increase conversion, raise average order value through relevant cross-sells and upsells, and reduce call times.
Flexible placement, resort-controlled voice
The AI agent can be placed anywhere. It can appear on a resort's marketing website or inside an Aspenware-powered online store. Either way, the resort controls the guest-facing prompts, tone of voice, and resort-specific guidance.
Aspenware has shown a working prototype to select resorts and is targeting production availability in early 2027.
