Aspenware Partners with 1RISK to Offer Integrated Waiver Management
In collaboration with 1RISK, the leader in risk management data solutions and Active Network’s RTP|ONE, Aspenware is excited to announce new enhancements and next-level features for resort risk mitigation.
With these enhancements, resort customers are able to leverage a powerful suite of tools for managing digital waivers including electronic signature capture, managing minor and adult waivers, and the option of emailing waivers to others for signing.
The 1RISK/Aspenware team created a solution that enables waivers to be presented for any product that requires a signed waiver for purchase. Within the Aspenware integration, there are many options for presenting waivers to guests at various stages of the customer journey. It can be part of the initial checkout process in Aspenware Commerce, as a CTA on the order confirmation email, as part of the pre-arrival process in Aspenware Arrival, or as an on-mountain step with Aspenware’s kiosk-based Resort Tools.

The 1RISK feature can be used by resorts on Active Network’s RTP|One or other leading POS systems. Once the guest has signed the waiver in 1RISK, the customer record in the corresponding point-of-sale system is updated to reflect when and how the waiver was signed.
Recently, the 1RISK/Aspenware team, in collaboration with Active Network’s RTP|ONE, enhanced this integration by adding the ability to email the waiver to the activity participant. This ensures that the guest who is participating in the activity is the one who has signed the release of liability. Because logged-in users often purchase for others but are not authorized to sign the waiver on their behalf, this feature is particularly beneficial. The risk assumed by the resort is lessened with this next-level functionality.
